Hairstyles for Men
Most beauty magazines are obviously geared toward women, but men need to figure out what to do with their hair, too — if they still have it, that is! Here are a few options we’re loving these days at Entourage Institute.
Short and Sporty
Military-style buzz cuts are best saved for soldiers, but a slightly longer version of this style can be a very slick look.
Ask your barber to go as short as he can without shaving, and you’ll have a classic yet current look that’s easy to style on a daily basis. A touch of pomade or styling clay, and you’re good to go.
Medium-Length & Wavy
This style takes a little more effort, but it’s definitely worth it, especially if your hair has a little natural wave to it. In some ways, it’s actually easier to maintain because you don’t have to worry about keeping it trimmed.
Ask your barber for a classic square cut but with the sides a little longer and the top textured. A little pomade or styling gel with get you that perfectly styled “bedhead” look — and we mean that in a good way!
Long and Luxe
This is probably the hardest hairstyle for men to pull off, but some of our favorite men’s hairstyles over the years have been longer cuts.
This style requires you to have some natural volume to your hair, and a little wave or loose curls helps, too. You’ll need to use some decent hair products, and you can’t skip the conditioner with a longer hair style. We like long hair best on men when it’s just around the chin, and some face-framing layers can help it from looking like a mop.
